The Boston Common... the oldest park in America and one of the loveliest places on earth with its willows, flowers, and swan boats, propelled with a foot pedal by the driver. My favorite spot in the city.

We visited Boston on a recent trip east. Boston's a very cool city with an interesting mix of the old and new--colonial graveyards set between skyscrapers, old pubs and trendy restaurants, and the Freedom Trail that weaves its way through the center of town.

I loved the green lamps in this enormous, quiet room that looked like a good place to study.
